hi all...
i started a thread in the meets section about whether a club banner is in existance and it seems there isnt one.
so i would like to open a discussion about getting one made up.
in the past i have got one made up through a contact on a capri forum (for use on that forum) and what hapened was the banner drafts were voted on and then it was ordered. this guy was a trusted mate and he came up trumps as his g/f workewd at a place making them.
when it comes to shows, it is sent in the post so it can be displayed all over the country if someone is not able to take it on the way. this proved successful.
so, does the zone need a general club banner? if it is deemed not needed, then this is fine, i just thgouht it would be good to raise a bit of awareness.
MOTIVE FOR THIS IS: i want to become more involved with the zone, buit i dont meet the criteria of being a member for 12 months or more. I hope that this might be of use. (for the clubs future awareness, not me becoming a mod etc!)

As said, great idea, but where does the cash come from, how do we move it from place to place, who decides where it goes if two meets clash etc?The zone works because it is internet based, classic car clubs, who use this sort of thing, tend to be subscription based with a different mindset to membership and paying for things such as this. This could well be something that could be used by 'area organizers',when the zone moves on to requiring such folk.
Youth is wasted on the young.
the club i organised the other banner for was like this an internet based forum/club. as i said, the banner was sent in the post if the currnet holder of the banner was not attending the show. the banner was paid for by donations. i kept a propper record of where monies came from, who by and how much, so thanks could be made when the banner was done.daimlerman wrote:As said, great idea, but where does the cash come from, how do we move it from place to place, who decides where it goes if two meets clash etc?The zone works because it is internet based, classic car clubs, who use this sort of thing, tend to be subscription based with a different mindset to membership and paying for things such as this. as ni now see there are banners for the zone, i'll forget about it. no point reinventing the wheel as they say.

I personally paid for three banners to be made - the black & orange ones, I'm not 100% sure which member of the team has them at the moment (Gordon I think)
You are welcome to use them should need be but if they get damaged/lost you must pay for replacements.
