Hi all,

New to E30 ownership, only got my 325i se at 3 pm this afternoon.

As I described in the title the brake lights aren't working and the OBC is telling me that. Is it likley to be the brake light switch or perhaps a fuse?

Also, the courtesy lights aren't working either no matter what position I put the switches in... Any ideas?

TIA,

BCBM

Sussed out the brake lights, one of the bulbs had blown, I didn't realise that neither would work if one bulb had blown.

Cheers for the advice.

Not so! If one bulb is good, it should work.
Fuse for interior lights is 21. Are there bulbs in them?

There were bulbs in both, but I changed both of them and they now work, when I inspected the bulbs it looked as though as only one bulb had blown (but the filaments did look a bit naff on both bulbs), but they are now working so there's nothing lost really.

I have to add that from the couple of issues I've had everyone is more than willing to pass on information.. makes a refreshing change.

Shame I've found a petrol leak on it now..... Right by what I think is the ICV, it was pouring out earlier on when I ran her to keep the battery tip top.

Will have to get some rubber hose on Saturday and do a bit of a repair...
