323 engine in 318

got a 89 E30 318i been offered a 323 83 or 84 reg for Ԛ£50 is it worth puttin the 323 engine etc in my 318i? is this the early motronic one ie can i get a chip etc for it

Probably be more hassle than its woth, 325 is far better than 323 and they don't cost a hudge amount. You will also have to do breaks/suspension, all the cost will spiral and you mights as well have bought a 325i

this is a drift car btw so i wouldnt bother with suspension and brakes from 323

i am considering this same swap as i have a 316i and a 323i sat doing nothing and the cost would be minimal as i have 2 full cars so if your in my boat i say go for it and be a little different mate good luck Daz leeds

yes would have both complete the only thing is the engine mounts and prop etc as im supposed to be drifting 7th August so need to get it done before then ive got the time its just if any thing needs modifying to fit

what ecu does the a reg 323 run? is this still a e30?
