well it's here,,,i've now fitted it,,,although not as straight forward as i'd hoped...
i have a good over hang ,,all equal length...but to achieve this it had to be carefully measured,
gripped in place with moley's,,in two places,,,,measured again,,,adjusted,,measured..,and a final measure check
then drilled and fixed with the v,nice self tapping bolts supplied...the very outside of the splitter doesn't go flush with
the outside of the lip spoiler,,,,it losses it's line right on the end of the return bend,,,it was getting dark so not the best pic to explain.....but it's on now,,,

anyone else got theirs yet,,, 8)

Here we go, not sure where/how to mount it though.

Firstly this way with the ends meeting, creating the largest amount of lip out front. And the lip disappears nicely. It shows more than the 1".

Or this way, mounted further back leaving less lip and I would have to trim the ends. And the lip disappears sooner.

Thats wierd yours is so large. I know I sent out a 1.5" rieger cuz one of them was, but the rest should be 1". I wonder if I just screwed up and forgot to cut the backs off of those two... I'm mystified right now about that, I checked them all before they went out to make sure they were all the same size.

What about trimming a little bit and then putting it in the middle of 1" and the 1.5".

Mk, thought about this a bunch this afternoon. Put it around 1 1/4. I know mine's just over 1.5 on my car, and its the 1.5 version, so I know its not exactly 1" on those. I'm gonna throw a disclaimer on, sorry about that, let me know if its a huge issue. Dan, if you do like magpie, it should be all good. And with the ends, to get them so that there's a bunch of bolt surface to bolt the edges, if you pull in your lip since its a softer material to get it to work there, it should be all good and it will set itself back out when you mount it on the car. Also, if any of you need more help, just let me know and I can get you my number or talk online if any of you have either AIM or MSN messenger.

Also figured i'd let you guys know, I talked with a friend who has access to a waterjet, and I think y next runs will be with a waterjet cutting to make it more exact on all of them and I can get the edges all perfected. Just letting you guys know for future reference. This was the first huge order, so now i know about some of the issues and irregularities.

So its flush with the back and its 2" from the front most part of your lip to the lip on the splitter? Just curious cuz yours is based exactly on what my rieger is and I have that right infront of me and its 1.5" Is yours a real rieger? Just curious cuz its not adding up to me.

I'm confused about all of this, why are all of these nearly 1/2" or 3/4" wider then stated?
I wanted a 1" one because I prefer the subtle look of it, and didn't really want to achieve the 'added on look' :?
Sure I can trim it down but then run the risk of fooking it up, and providing It cost a fair bit Its not something I was hoping to have to do...

Opinions?

Sorry guys. For whatever reason they match up on mine. The rieger I know is 1.5", my rieger lip ha right on it that it is a rieger original, dunno if yours does, but this one does and it is exactly identical, so not sure how it grew an extra half inch on that one. The IS I'll for sure next time state its not exact, that's my fault, let me know if you have a huge issue with it and we can work something out, I'm glad to, as I'm sorry their not exactly as stated. It is wierd that you guys are having issues with them but the others in the same batch which are identical haven't had any issues.

Mk, just talked with my dad, he had one idea on possibly figuring out this difference. Here's my personal one, which yes I know I took out some size from what you guys got, atleast I thought. I laid the splitter mounted on my lip against the wall. The splitter sits dead flush with the back of my lip so its flat against the wall on both ends. The distance from the wall to the center of the splitter is as pictured. Just wondering if you guys could possibly do the same on yours. Its not adding up personally to me why its this way, and i'm not out to rip you guys off, I really want to work this out and get this problem solved.

Brendan

Wanna measure it before you cut it. I wanna figure this out please, cuz I wanna help get these fixed. You guys shouldn't have to redo these if its my mistake. And I cut it with a die grinder w/ a 4" cutoff wheel. I believe they are shiny because of when OBs was sanding them...
