it was dolphin? grey i cant remember but the number might have been 531? or 351? it was auto with head light wash wipe, no alpina badges on the exterior and the battery was in the boot it also had cloth interior with blinds on the rear heated window and the 1/4 windows and the rear door glasses.

C2 2.7s are getting quite rare these days, If you need anything, just ask Simon, he's got the whole factory around his he has.

Alpinas are truly very exclusive cars, however, I just cannot believe how many people at the traffic lights have the guts to say to you "that's not a real Alpina".

Point at the dash plaque and everything and the still think you carved it out of wood and stuck it on with superglue lol.

People, I really need help, my Alpina has full stainless steel system on it with usual Alpina manifold.

BUT it has a single letterbox DTM exhaust on it, a nice chrome one, does anyone know the name of this type? Not upswept or anything.

it's dead mate i've got the dash plaque for it 0531 and most of the service history like i said!

i'm looking at the base spec of the car E534 AYA

was a good spec

dolphin paint, auto,cruise,rear blind,de chrome,A/C

I've got the pistons from it hanging up in my garage.

Whoever you sold it to broke the car up so i'm told due to rust is about all i know.

The cylinder head ended up on a J-reg cab previously owned by Jit vv

Aftermarket I know, but lol, whats the name.

Sorry no pics.

But, you know of the names of any, Ill google it.

Simon, what's the advantage of these exhausts over the twin tailpipe ones, do they give a deeper grumble, because my alpina makes a very deep note on idling. Any advantages or just pure looks?

BMWAlpinaC2- mate you are of you nut! it's a tailpipe they don't really make any difference to noise it's the silencers that do that!

Furqall,

This is all i know Jit bought the engine, history, dash plaque off someone. My guess would be this guy in harlow you so9ld it too, because i've had the bottom end etc for over 3 years. So it can't of lasted long after you sold it.

Jit fitted the lump to his cab, had problems with it and removed it. Thats where i came in.

Small world eh? I can tell you the pistons and crank are in very good contion. It's nice to know the rough milege. Got any pic's of it?

I've got receipts upto 2001 roughly, are you Mr S Ketts? lots of receipts from Bates of East London here

Nice, but take off the spiler, ruins the look, unless you have a tech-1 cab with tech-1 spiler, then it looks tight and sexy!!!

it's a long way away that cab i'd find one a bit closer. What do i think? it looks ok and you could make some money selling the tat off it, you can't really comment until you've seen it in the flesh though

Cabs/tourings don't rust as bad a saloons in general either
