Right just looking at my rear 5 stud conversion (finally got the arms back with the new bushes in!! :woohoo: )

The M3 driveshafts look rather different to the 316i auto ones... The shafts are alot shorter and appear thicker, am i gonna have to pull the driveshafts out of the diff? Are the input cv's to the diff the same across the range?

Sooo final question is... which ones do i have to use?

Think you can mate, if they are the same as 325i ones.

But the track is wider isn't it? Where is the difference?

The driveshafts are held onto the diff with 6 10mm allen bolts. (I think it's 10mm)

Enjoy!

ello dude

what u need to do is use the m3 shafts.... remove ure 316 ones form the diff via the allen key bolts.....
dont remove the output shafts as there is no need to.... the m3 driveshafts will connect straight to ure small case diff oputput shafts

the difference i susoect is the non-abs/abs situation

the track difference on m3s is all in the hub!

dont remove the output shafts o
