325i now with running probs

Hey guys, sorry for all the threads but after refitting the radiator my 325i now seems to have developed a running problem. If you havent seen the other thread ive recently fitted the following: plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, water pump and timing belt. Ive got it running again after a minor plug lead mixup but now it will idle just fine, although the rev counter is reading around 400 rpm , the temperature needle is also reading about half, but drops to quarter then jumps back to half constantly. When i rev the car it misses until about 2000 rpm then when I let the rev off the car will die out, also have 2 inspection lights which have just come on (yellow and red furtherest to right) all help appreciated guys this is doing my head in, not sure why but something makes me suspect air flow meter or thereabouts?

Did you have the battery disconnected during this work?

Yes, battery was disconnected. Problem sorted now after a bit of investigation last night, rubber pipe that connects to air flow meter had a split underneath, a bit of sealer later and its running like a dream again. Thanks for the help as you can tell im pretty new to this

Bodging the hose back together won't do anything for the service lights!
The batteries on the SI board are probably on their last legs, and should be replaced before they leak and cause terminal damage to the cluster electronics.
