No - you should get a half decent one for that. Engine's are pretty reliable - just missing a couple of cylinders

if you are patient you will get a cheap one enough, look out for ones that have been took in PX becuase half the time they dont know what they are, mine was £500 with 12 month Mot and 7 month tax, look at the pics in photogallery and tell me its a shed
