I'll start,back in 1994 when I was about 19 ,here's my first one,an 87 325iSE with high comp engine
This car was an animal, just 'kin flew. It was hammered daily had 170k on the clock 40kish of mine, never had an oil change in four years, was bodged up beyond imagination as i was seriously penniless!
But it paved the way to E30 love babee

Sold it to someone in London and despite all the abuse I gave it,80mph across Salisbury Plains, several near death experience's and various other scallywag nonsense it got written off whilst parked on the side of the road!

Good old E461LWS
:D

Twin straight through Cherry Bomb 'silencers' too, damn that was loud

Lets see where your affair began :D

PS ignore the camera date,I took a pic of a pic and just found it on the PC and decided to put this thread up:D

About 2 years ago i bought this 2 door 320 from a mate for £300, after getting it through a test i replaced the front end with aftermarket pannels and was working my way through the car, trying to make it a good-un, then i realised i just didnt have the money so the new and useable bits were sold then the shell scrapped :o:

This is as good as it ever looked

Image

I was hooked on the noise of the straight 6 and eaven though my later 1.8 escort SI would wipe the floor with either of the 320's for speed, the E30's are much nicer to drive

I was 20 (17 years ago) when I got my first E30. It was a theft recovery, hence no history 316 (1800cc non injection) but only 55K on the clock nothing done to the engine due to insurance. Resprayed, retrimed interior, suspension uprated, wheels replaced . I owned it for 8 years.

Mine was an 83 Bronzitbeige 320i with no side indicators and a great retro brown interior.
Scapped it years back but parts still live on, i'm still running the gearbox on my 2.7.

I bought this 318i in 2000 when i was 18, found this hilarious picture of me as a hoddie! You can just make out the half leather Evo 2 interior i bought for it for £150 out of adtrader. The drivers seat was hammered on my old interior and this was the best/cheapest interior i could find at the time. If i only i'd known the value of that interior! especially with M3 parts prices now! It had a fibreglass tech 2 boot spoiler. I didn't add that

I pranged this on Christmas day in the wet in 2001 hit a tree and then tree stump at 60mph. I had it jigged as it bent the chassis leg and drove it for another 6 months

So thats where it all went wrong, me mum and dad had matching red chrome bumper 4drs in the day! 325iSE for dad and 318i for mum. Thats who i blame

All started with this beauty below, back in 2000,first bmw, the best one yet.

I was the 2nd owner, had cloth interior, tech 2 kit, mirror/map light, tech 2 steering wheel, basicaly the whole package, computer etc etc, you get the idea.

As this was my first, i didnt have anything to compare it too, but now i miss the hell out of it, was a really really reeeeaally strong care, drove absolutely spot on, like it came from factory, everything was in good condition, only bad point was a rust at the bottom of the front window, and a little bit on the boot lid.

Dont see any like that anymore, now ive had around 6/7 e30's and none of them can come close to this one.

Ok enough of me remenissing!

I hope it was a mark one like mine. ( although i actualy reshelled the gte a few times because of the 2.0 16v red top from a calibra pulling the chassis apart)

My 1st Bmw was a 4 door 320i in red on a "E" , I had always been a Ford man until I worked a shift with a bloke who was Bmw mad, we spent the entire shift talking car's, I was after a cheap motor and bought the 320i off him with out driving it, when I picked it up I remember driving down the road and thinking "this car feels like a tank, what have I done?" then I got onto the main road and floored it, have n't looked back since!!.

My love affair started off in 90' with my mates E21 323i. After getting a run in that beast, I knew that I just had to have a 3 series. A couple of very good E21's came after that, and I'm currently on my 9th E30. Can't see me ever being without one now, althouh a very good E21 would tempt me back !!

My first and current E30 is a 1990 moredoor 320i Auto in Brilliant Red. Love it. Bought it off Rkive (a mate) for 500 and spend a little on her but not much. Just wanted to get the feel for the cars... kinda wish i hadn't and never seen the Zone... but now i'm hooked. As someone (strangely enough today) said to me "E30s are like Crack... once you have your first you need another fix every 10 mins"... so true.

Well she's up for sale and i hope someone takes her into their wings and looks after her. Dont want to flog her off for dirt.

But thats because i'm moving up into the world of the 2door 325i soon... cant wait till i get back from the UK to go pick her up!!

Heres the beauty.

No pic of my first but it all started about 6 years ago.
Needed a cheap car for a few months and was offered a facelift 316 2dr with no MOT for £70.
Had been stood under a car port for 2 yrs and was Green with tree sap.
Gave £20 for it in the end with the thought in mind that if its a nail ill weight it in for more.
Anyway new battery, fivers worth of petrol and one front flexi pipe later saw it with a years MOT :D
Since then ive owned probably 30+ E30`s,a few E34`s and a couple of E36`s.

Dakar Yellow I think you will find. It's a popular colour found on e36 M3's so I am guessing this was re-sprayed this colour.

well the first car i had ever been in apart from ambulance was an e30 from the hospital in 1991, h reg 316 very poverty spec

but the first i owned was when i was 14, my step dad baught it for 100 quid as he wanted the BBS wheels of it and gave the car to me, it was a 318i A reg and the plan was to restore it but the floor inside was rotten due to haveing wet footwells for a long time, rear arches were non existant and was not worth spending money on.

Image

Image

anyway after that was fragged i baught a 316 c reg chromie for 350 quid and transfered the leather interior out of the A reg car to this. I planned to restore this one too but after 2 years sitting on the drive till i was 17 i found out i could not afford to insure the thing being a 1.8 so sold it for 400 after spending loads on it

Image

Image

Image

then after finding out that i could insure a 316i i baught this for 750 quid and transferd the leather over again. i got it insured but when i passed my test they wanted an extra 1.2k which i could not afford and had to stay with that insurance company or i would lookse the 1.3k i had allready given them so i had no choice but to get a corsa

Image

Image

anyway about 6-8 weeks ago i got an IS for 500 pound which is the best in terms of body work, as its almost mint

im 18 in feb and have had a few insurance quotes and this time i WILL ge this on the road for longer than a week

the car has been stored in a field for the last 7 weeks since i baught it but it came back today :D :D

^^^ more like my life story
