Come on Theo they are not that bad. When i lived in Cranbrook i loved driving in Kent.

It was a revaltion in comparison to busy Croydon and the crater filled roads of Redhill and Reigate!

Thing is Dave, m5's are really cheap at the moment, and i'm not going to be doing much mileage at all so the increased running costs aren't a problem.

Roads are gash, I assure you. The council probably hasn't spent a penny on them since you were living down here!

Everything except E30 M3's are cheap now!

Theo, how much are you paying for this car?

Any pics?

You might want to consider a 3.8 I have here which belongs to a customers. Makes the full 340 horses aswell on the dyno.

This is the car in question; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0291360976

The only things that draw me to it are the fact that it's so local to me, and potentially cheap. I don't even know what a 3.6 m5 is worth without history and in need of a good tune up. I don't really like the colour much, the e36 wheels have linglong tyres fitted so they would need to be changed for some throwing stars with decent rubber.

What do you think it's worth? Not much more than the current bidding is my gut feeling.

i would say its worth no more than 2k, looks tidy and wants smartning up a bit. 1.5k would be a bargain though as i good 3.6 is 4k upwards easy isnt it?

This 3.8 didn't even make 3k, with history and various other plus points. Incredible how cheap these cars are at the moment.

The guy comes across as quite honest in the advert...unusual for an ebayer.

Always a plus point if it has been maintained by someone with a brain for the last couple of years.

Its spec has changed a bit from when it was new, so you'll have to bare that in mind come resale time.
