I'm looking for a wiring diagram covering the Headlamp wash/wipe function. I'm going to retrofit it onto my U.S. spec car and want to make sure I do all the wiring correctly between the motors, control, unit and wiper stalk

I've got an E28 bentley but it dosn't show the headlight wipers. I'd buy the factory harness, but I'm adding just the wipe function and not the wash so I want to relocate the control unit so you can't see it in the engine bay.

The Haynes diagram is fairly accurate, apart from the key says 14 is the main screen wiper, when it's one of the headlamp wipers.
The only wiring for the headlamp washers, is the blue wire to the washer pump from 53c of the headlamp motor with four wires. The washer pump is controlled by a microswitch inside this motor.
The number of times the wiper wipes each time it is triggered is also controlled by reduction gear operated microswitches inside each motor.
The motor are started by a short 12V+ pulse applied to the red wire of the motors (black/yellow in loom), and then are kept running untill the end of their cycle by 12V+ on the black wires (purple/blue in the loom).
The two wires from TS and PS on the wiper control module (16) are not present on cars without intensive cleaning.

Well my Haynes manual did end up having it
But thanks Ian for emailing it to me. I'd still like to get the BMW factory diagram that describes the functions. My ETM disks only cover U.S. models
