Ok, I took off all my BBS last night to polish them by hand and although the result was bloody good
my steering is now really light! All the wheels were done up tight. Bit odd? Any one got any idea?

Are you sure you put them back on in the same place? Sounds to me like you have put the front ones on the back, with the different tyres the steering will feel different.

I did them one at a time just to make sure I wouldnt make that mistake. It is very odd. Its not exactly a problem though..the steering feels great lol

that's not really an option mate as the rear tyres are mostly wider than the fronts , so the steering should get havier.Ritchie wrote:Are you sure you put them back on in the same place? don't really have an idea what it could be

I know mate, but its so gay when something like that happens. Because its metalic so it probably means the whole car has to be repainted

The tyre pressure should be the only difference

couldnt be something as simple as the car's tyres were a bit flat before you cleaned the wheels, and you adjusted the pressure on them before you put them back on??
my 320i is sensitive to tyre pressures on the front (205/55/15) ie if its 2-3psi down the steering feels sluggish
