Please help me out! Living in Denmark and buying a car in UK

Hi All,
I am living in Denmark and is considering to buy a BMW in UK.
Anything that I should be aware of besides whether it is a good car?

For example:
- How can I check whether there is any debt or security/pledge in the car?
- How can I ensure that the license plates is canceled?

Well if I am going to import the car to Denmark the registration in UK should be canceled.
I do not want to pay any road taxes in UK when the car is exported from UK.

The HPI check should show that.
But as i said it does not always show the accident history of the car so make sure you have a good look at it first.

About the plates being cancelled i would have thought that once you re-register it they would be aware anyway ?

Over here if you don't apply to register a car you can ignore the parking tickets and road tax (until they tow it away )
