Hi everyone,
Time for my first post...here goes!
Apologies in advance for the rookie question!

I bought a 318is at the beginning of the summer and have hugely enjoyed driving it so far.

I’m now looking forwards to giving her a thorough service, however i’m in need of a few parts, and i’m not sure where best to buy them (its my first car y’see!)

Can anyone recommend a good supplier near Glasgow?

Some of the parts i’m after include a pair of front discs, a timing chain tensioner and an air filter.

A

For genuine BMW parts try the Genuine BMW parts section here on the Zone, they are copetitively priced and offer great service giving a discount to forum members too I think!

Welcome to the Zone by the way.

You would be supprised what your local BMW dealer keeps on the shelf, they can order just about anything for you too. This site is great for parts too as aj_mckay mentioned above.

GSF have branch in Glasgow,01414334080,I use my local one for service parts.I keep a list of 'non-priority' bits that are dealer only and order from Cotswold when I have a worthwhile list.

Excellent, thanks for the info guys! I'll give GSF a call tomorrow and see what they've got, otherwise i'll order them from Cotswold.

For normal service parts like discs, pads and filters, etc., GSF and/or Eurocarparts are fine, but always go for their 'best quality' items - usually with part numbers ending in '0'.
For more unusual items, and anything made of rubber, use your dealer or Cotswold.

Im using GSF discs and pads in mine and i can't fault them, went for the Brembo discs and Textar pads, the pads are apparantly what these car's left the factory with... Not the cheapest option available, but well worth it.
