no, the couple of times i went with my old 282bhp level it was pissing down with rain so it wasnt worth doing.
another £500 spent can see me pushing 370bhp or if i fit my spare bigger turbo 400 is there to be had but more laggy winkeye

Mini Cooper S (that was too easy!)
E46 M3 (was close.)
Astra VXR, (again too easy)
Megane 225 (see above)
Porsche 911 (996) carrera 2 (Not a win as such but i dont think he expected to see me on his tail at 140mph!)

Demlot was surprised when i passed him like he was standing still while he was doing 140 in his S14 iS (which has a calibrated speedo!).
Ant and Oz will confirm this as they were my passengers at the time!

Thank you, for the nice comment mate. Yes it has schnitzer stripes, as well, as the hole ac schnitzer package for the outside that has been offered for e30. I'm only missing ac schnitzer mirrors, but I bought DTM ones, that would go on the car :D

S50 mate not M50! 13.9 @ the pod with loads of wheel spin, E46 M3's were doing similar times.

I had it with one, it was close but i did it!

0-60 in the 5's, high 13 quarters and 160+ mph with E30 aerodynamics!

Its quick end of!

Sorry I missed the point as the thread was about M50's.........................................its all relative I suppose as you are talking highly modded E30 v's out of the box M3.

Well i though i would throw mine in as others have.

Its all about power to weight ratio.

E46's are lardy.

Would I be right in saying an M50 is a 24v engine? and what capacity would that be a standard 3.5?

M50 is 24V and came in 2.0 and 2.5

M52 is also 24V and came in 2.5 and 2.8.

3.5 was an M30 or M60 V8.

They came in 2.0 and 2.5 in the uk, the later M52 was stroked to 2.8 too and the 2.3 was really a restricted 2.5.

Not sure what the 3.0 is (M54??)

Damn, beaten to it

Is the 2.0 M50 a worthwhile swap, assuming you can't find a 2.5?

Here is a video of e30 with m54b30 engine, drag racing with e46 m3. The 3.0 litre engine in the e30 makes 230hp, and by the way it stays next to the e46, I'm pretty sure an e30 with S52 would be a lot faster than e46 m3.

The whole car needs spraying. This is on the list for things to do next summer. I don't have type 1's, I'm not a really big fan of them, but I will be getting some 16" rims, because bigger brakes would be going on the car too. I have a 4 spoke schnitzer steering wheel yes, but I'm not using it, because currently on the car there is 350mm OMP Suede one. Shoot me a msg with a price if you're willing to sell your mirrors winkeye

Cheers Alex
