I was really surprised to see my Hartge picked as your COM for November!! Many of your cars are certainly more worthy.Jhonno wrote:Another great choice!!![]()

Who's is it?!
My name is Jack & my user name is cactusjacks1. I'm from "accross the pond" & hale from Southern California. I really envy those of you in the UK as their seems to be a lot more Hartges than in the US.
Our original importer closed his doors in 1990 - where your importer, Birds, has been in business since the '30's. To see 2 Hartge's, the Red E30M3 H35-24 come up on ebay & the white E30M3 H35-24 that was wrecked & then bought from the salvage yard by a member of this board - they are 2 of 6 produced & both appear within a week - that was a treat!!
New parts, old parts, used Hartge H23 & H26 motors seem to be very available to you in the UK - you are very lucky - we haven't seen or heard of an engine for sale over here at all. Even little parts, like the grey stripe center cap logos, or old NOS emblems are nonexistant here in the US.
Even the wheels are very difficult to come by. One piece are a little more available than the 3 piece. The 3 piece, 16" 4 lug et 25's, on my car were originally made for our E30's. I was very, very lucky to find them & have not seen another pair - try finding the 130mm lockable center caps -- any of you know where to find some??
I have almost completed restoration on my car. A few more items to complete on the interior & work a few bugs out & it's done. I will post more pix when it's completed.
Thanks to Iain & your zone community, for the honor - your comments are appreciated & its great to see that the E30 welcome mat is always out.
Jack
Jack i cant wait to see more pics of the car it looks lovely and very well kept
