My rear suspension looks like it needs new shock absorbers.
The top of the shock absorber is now loose...
The bolts either side of the mount are ok, but the top of the shock now literally bobs up and down freely. The only thing stopping it from failing altogether is the flange and bolt.
Can someone tell me if it should just be bonded to the rubber that sits on top of the mount? I'm going to buy new shocks and springs anyway, but surely the shock needs more than just bonding to the top of the mount?
How can I rectify the situation...from happening again? New bushes? Rear Strut brace?
Oh dear! New suspension required...but...

You can see what the top mounts look like in this post:undergroundstyling wrote:My rear suspension looks like it needs new shock absorbers.

You may only need new top mounts. They just wear out over time but, an upgrade to the rear mounts involves using those off an E46 cab.
