Hi - I am new to your forum & live in Southern California. I am very glad to see you have a lot of Hartge information here. It is very hard to get any Hartge info in the USA as so few cars were imported & the authorized importer back in 1985-1989 "Performance Plus" is out of business. As soon as I can post pictures, I will put up some shots of the restoration I am doing.

Please note, the prices I have used below, for the Hartge parts installed on this car, are from their 1989 catalog & are not correct in today's dollar.

I can't seem to find the address to Iain's page for the Hartge registry.
If you could please post it that would be great.

The information on my car is as follows;

Well I guess I'll add mine to the list after Jack. My car is a 1984 Hartge H23. I have had the car since August and have been slowly working on it. I bought the car wrecked in the drivers side and running rough. It runs very well now and all of the damage has been repaired and primed. I plan on re-spraying the entire car sometime this winter. I don't know a lot about my car's history. I know it was imported through Performance Plus just like Jack's. I also know that my car was not ordered by a customer but ordered by Performance Plus as their own. It has the Hartge cylinder head, valve cover, headers, exhaust, suspension, strut bars, long range fuel tank, mono wiper, front and rear spoilers, sideskirts (on the way), 15" wheels, dash mounted 3 gauge pod, steering wheel, badging, and stripes. The car still needs quite a bit of work to get it where it deserves to be but I'm up to the challenge. I'm very anxious to get some more info and history on my car and all of the 80s Hartge cars. Here are a few pictures.

Thank you very much! I was planning on having the stripes made by a guy I know but after reading this forum maybe not. Do you have them available? I saw that someone was making sets. I'd be interested in a silver set if I could get them. Let me know. What are highbacks by the way? Thanks again!

I think he is referring to the seats.

You have the same wheels as me (15") . Never seen another pair on a car before, they all seem to be 16" in the UK

I have just aquired a set of these for my latest project. They are 17x7.5 front and 17x8.5 rear, 5x100 stud patten and the correct ET25 offset for E30 M3 suspension. Brand new and boxed. :D

There is also propper locking bolts for the centre caps to go in place of the screw holding the cap on.

Sweet! I never knew there was a Hartge fetish thread on this forum... Nice bump. Anyway while i've got my pics uploaded on photobucket i might as well put them up on here as well. The quality is not very good though (camera phone) as the interior is actually a darker shade of blue and also the floor mats have been steam cleaned since then but hopefully i'll take some new pics next year once i put it back on the road with a proper camera... Not the best quality but there you go. 1985 Hartge H28 based on a spec'd up 323i model, 42k miles.

Yes mate here ya go, i really need to take some new pics though as these were taken by the P/Owner :o:

(both fogs are working btw, the angle must have been a little off in the last picture)

A little O/T but i've replaced the expansion tank for a new white one and want to replace both washer bottles and fan while i'm at it. if you look at the engine bay the tank on the NSF wing is for the windshield fluid which i believe is an e21 323i item.
I've already ordered an 'E21' fluid container from bmw but it was totally wrong as it was more like the container as used in the E12! As it came from Germany it was a non returnable item (so i had to buy it anyway!:x ) even though it looked nothing like the picture in their catalogue. Anyway a long story short it has the old 7 digit BMW part number on the bottle which won't match up with their new style numbers... Does anyone know the correct number for that container in my engine bay so i don't end up paying for the wrong part again :evil:

Oh and the headlight washwipe bottle in front of the air filter is a VDO item so christ knows where i'll find one of them...

Anyone??? :mad:
