hi all
dont know if anyone has mentioned this, just a couple of ideas , i was hunting through the scrapyard trying to find a mk2 or mk1 golf servo but could not come across one , so i find an old mk1 polo and noticed that they look the same and i have fitted it to my car , i have not tested it yet but it fits fine , ( i have had a small section cut away from plenum chamber ) , also you can use renault clio master cylinders from any later plastic winged clios ( they are slightly shorter than bmw ones and fit straight into vw and bmw servos ) ,

also i notice that a lot of people go down the route of moving the servo across to clear the plenum chamber , the guy i bought my s50 3.0 off of said he lowered his servo by using the bottom two holes as the top and cutting a new hole below and drilling two new holes below , he said with doing this all you have to do with the link mechanism inside the footwell is turn it upside down and it bolts straight on , and by doing this you do not have to extend the link bar inside the car , also you can use the original master cylinder because it is lower and misses the plastic housing with the afm in it , he did have to cut a small section out of the plenum chamber , but i am guessing that if you were to use a mk1 mk2 golf servo you would not have to cut the plenum chamber at all !! just an idea i would try it myself but i cannot lower my servo as i am fitting an s50 into an m3 shell and the column is in the way , i hope this might help anyone doing the conversion
