I love 2002's. A particularly nice example.

Any more shots?

What's the green and black thing behind it in the shed?

Oh is the yellow car a Datsun 240Z?

Looks like a 1968 Mustang..? I'm probably wrong.
Yellow car is a Nissan 240Z, and t'other car is a TVR Sagaris. I think.

I hope you're not "trickin' out dat ryde, m8" with gaaay mods. It's so nice.
What are the plans?

Looks very nice....

Only it is RHD, isn't it? That means it's a replica...

Also how do you intend to mount the turbo and exhaust manifold downpipe? AFAIK, the standard turbo kit can't be made to fit RHD shells...

So we're both right about the Nissan/Datsun then?

IIRC the Japs based it on the Ferrari Dino. Did a great job of it too. Unfortunate that it rusts quicker than a Mk II Escort and E30 combined!!!!

Here's a lovely example:

The yellow car is a Datsun 260Z 2+2. Note the extra large rear side window.

IUs the Turbo a real one or a decent copy? Given the prices of real ones, I'd be buying a solid 1602 and building one!

well spotted on the 260Z, Andy...I used to have one of those...met a sad end, though (totalled against a then brand new Porsche 944)...

As I said, if you want a proper 02 turbo rep you need a LHD shell...plenty of those around, though...

But the 300zx is an atrocoius hunk of scrap iron...handles like a boat and about as slow as one, too!

The 280zx is about the same, tbh...

The 240 and 260, though are genuinely good cars...The 240Z was Datsuns' (Nissans') attempt at hitting the MGBGT market, but they produced a proper sports car with decent handling, a fantastic engine and reasonable packaging internally...
They are actually (other than the US inspired 70s interior) very modern cars.

Nice, I had a Cherry Turbo in black and an Alfa Romeo Arna (same car but with a boxer engine in it) and both cars were very capable. I owned them more years ago than I care to remember now

Now the 2002, that is a nice car, and I will have one..... one day :D

The 240Z'x and 260Z's turn up at my garage with all sorts of nastiness under the bonnet

the yellow car is a 260z slightly longer than the 240z as its got four seats, the green and black car in the garage is another project a MK1 Escort..

18 now :D

and yes it is a replica unfortunatly, it started life as a 2002tii with a standard 2litre engine in it, we managed to find a 2002 turbo engine, being rhd fitting the turbo under the bonnet missing the steering colum is going to be quite difficult, not sure if we our goin to use the original KKK turbo yet ill try and keep you updated with pics.. the cars not running yet its been a 10year long project with my dad so far..
