ive just become the happy owner of a m52b28 bottom end so i can stroke my m20 engine to 2.8ltr its an early crank that had sinlge vanos from what ive read its a straight forward fit im going to try and have this done for christmas

Best of luck with your build,see you found the crank spacer drawing winkeye ,I considered building a 2.8 for the current project touring but was talked into an M50 at a zone meet...similar power but better economy for less money was the clincher,now I am fighting a reluctant downpipe perhaps I made the wrong choice!!

My old one is being ressurected over winter with some pretty trick bits. Must start the 2.9 soon now I have all the parts too.
325i Tech 1 Touring, breaking.

2.5 high comp. M20, 3.64 LSD, Fully undersealed, Spax springs & Bilstein shocks, s/s exhaust, Alpina rep wheels and more.

im hoping to have it done and in the car christmas week well im hoping anyway all depends on time and money but i had a good start today been and bought a complete m52b28 bottom end for £50 only problem with it was the threads in the block had been stripped just glad i dont need that bit anyway.
ive got my m20b20 con rods from stu (5 of) and got the last one off chris the bread man
