The door keys to my 1977 3.0Si have gone missing (dont ask!)
Anyway I have removed the lock barrel and have the lock code. Trouble is BMW computer says no. Anybody any ideas?

This may or may not help . If you are near Eltham station , London se9 , go into the locksmiths about 50yds from the station with what you have, ask for Glen.
He has cut those keys for me and has the blanks and he seems to be one of those guys who can get you out of trouble most of the time.
Paul
now tell me you are in Newcastle ?

Tanks Pual and sati, for the info. I am in Manchester but a trip to the smoke can always be arranged! It will be cheaper than the £220.00 that I have been quoted for a new lock set

Bit more local to you, there is a locksmith in Bolton on Bradshawgate - called Keys and Key Services if I remember correctly. I went in there once with some odd key and the guys were telling me they cut keys for all kinds of unusual cars.

I'd check in the yellow pages / similar before heading up there, though. It's been a couple of years since I've been in there.
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is
