little M/motorsport emblem for instrument cluster, where?

hi All,
Ok i looked on realoem, couldnt find it..hope some1 can help better...
im looking for the little /M (motorsport) logo, that can go inside the instrument cluster,
it goes where you see the "VDO" logo on the cluster... i think some of the cars..possibly e30 m3 had this... i want to do this to my car as a subtle neat touch...
i have brushed aluminium rings on my cluster and ferrari red painted needles... looks the business if i might say so myself

can anyone guide me to a PART # ? i saw a pic somewhere of a e30 cluster with it in, so if someone can supply me a bmw part nr.. it might be a emblem from another bmw model..not sure..

wouldnt this invole swapping for m3 clocks, presumably the bulbs/wiring isnt there except on m3 clocks

@robbo86 nah i dont want to swap clusters, im just looking for the little /M emblem/badge... almost like what u find on a mtech2 steering wheel

You can by them by the sheet on eBay - only a couple of dollars

They're the same as the ///M badges that go on to alloys, Ebay, you can usually get them for a fiver.....see here "Clicky"

Putting a led behind it will probably work. I've seen many case badges light op in my pc-modding days.

I've taken the cluster off "secondtimelcuky", so hopefully will be fitting it into my car soon, I'll have to get someone to do, it, can't wait till it arrives!!!!

Yep learnt today that they dont light up, however I am sure I have seen it somewhere, unless I imagned it

Saw a mod somewhere where it was done. Looked like a lot of hassle though.

You probably saw it lit up where someone has stuck it over the check light/symbol on the clocks so when the check light comes on it flashes through the m badge.

there used to be a german ebayer that was selling the m logo that fitted in where the check light goes its a simple 5 min fit im sure ive got one somewhere if i can find it ill post a pic

these //M badges can be bought at the dealers, they are the correct size for the 7 series parallel spoke wheels (type 37) and the part number 36112228660

only a couple of bucks!!
