I have a 325i e30 2 door and the inner rear arch (found when stripping the interior) is completely rusted through. The exterior rear panel (large rear wing) is sound its just the inner rear arch that is rotton. Has anyone replaced just the inner wing, what kit (if any) did you use and how hard was the job. Finally any tips and what cost am I looking at to do the job either myself or by a local garage??

Cheers in advance

Steve

PS is this an mot failure, the sill is still sound.

Probably only the outer half thats gone, they come in 2 halfs, the outer halfs are about Ԛ£50 each. The inner bit has the shock mount in it, it's the more expensive bit.

You need to strip away the outer wheelhouse back to the wing mount in the middle, then fit/weld the new one in, it isn't attached to the outer 1/4 anywhere, only to the sill sections. I can't help anymore than that as I scrapped the project before getting that far..
