I've got an E30 325i and my battery has died a death.
Went to Halfords to buy another and the guy reckons I can't change it myself as I'd have to reset the computer?
I reckon that sounds like a load of rubbish.
Who's right?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks folks. Got battery, changed battery, all working.
However, my service indicator lights now say that I need an inspection...
Ԛ•ԚÂ Is this just because I changed the battery or is something likely to be broken?
Ԛ• Can I get a tool or do anythng to reset the service indicator lights?

Rather than ask a question, it's always quicker to do a search.
I have saved you the trouble.

It's either a coincidence, or the batteries on your SI board in the instrument panel are dead.dinwoodie wrote:Thanks folks. Got battery, changed battery, all working.

Thanks. The batteries should be fine in there so I guess I should assume that it actually does need an inspection.
