That's a cruel description of a fine engine! I enjoyed quite a few moments with the E34 535iSE I briefly owned, and never did manage to break its forged crank despite taking it to 7500rpm on occasions

I think thats the thing with engine swaps. once you have done one and get used to it, you get bored and move onto the new thing

like most petrol heads, once a project is complete its time to start a new one.
