ive nearly finished it!!, i was wondering weather it is 1st in the uk? i know of 1 over in the stats, but thats all so far.

i only have to get the intercooler pipes tig welded as there is no rubber joints, extend the bar that goes from the pedal box to the servo as i had to move the servo over to get the t3 turbo in as its a tubular top mount manifold. oh and also the prop needs to be welded up.

now i need some advice.... what lsd to use with the 200sx gear box.
i have no idea what ratio the box is and not sure what diff would work best with it, as its on a tight budget i cant do trail and error. its mainly going to be a dift track car, im not really bothered about top end speed. its running just under 280 bhp atm but with the new airmass sensor and stage 3 chip it will be seeing around about a genuine 350.

also and idea on how id go about getting it into a magazine, bearing in mind it looks like a bag a shit.(a solid bag of shit though no rot) :D the un painted fiberglass front m teck 2 bumper, kermit the frog green m3 spoiler, grey teck 2 bumper with a towbar hole let the apearance of the gloss black with moss all over it, look down....

sorry if this is in the wrong section, id really like some feedback on the diff subject though.

thankyou

Lets have some pics then please!

With the diff, just make sure you get a medium cased unit, which is the larger of the two which fits the E30. 3.91:1 is the shortest ratio readily available in the bigger size. Can be found on facelift 325's, LSD's of this ratio were found on facelift (88 onwards) 325i sports, but you'd be better off with a welded diff if it's for drifting.

To get it in a magazine, actually finish it and make it look good! I like your idea of nearly finished by the way! Have you made an exhaust? Done the wiring? Mounted an oil cooler?

I'm fitting an SR20DET to mine, done the prop, engine mounts, gearbox mount, intercooler mount, radiator mounts, done the basics of the wiring as well. Now in the process of moving the servo over but have been waiting ages for a holes saw to be delivered which I need for cutting the new hole in the bulkhead.

I was looking into fitting an SR20DET to mine before I got the S50. If I recall correctly the ratio of diff on the S14 and S14a is 4.1 so a 3.91 will be perfect (assuming the CA18 and SR20 gearboxes have the same ratios).

Good luck, many say the CA18 is an awesome engine. Certainly has massive tuning potential and is in a better place now (an E30!)

I´m wanting 300hp with nice spool (better then GT28RS)
limited by 450cc injectors, otherwise it could do 440hp or so on quite alot of boost .

Fitment into an e30 is dead easy. plenty of room, needs spacer on the stock gearbox mount to lift up the gearbox high enough for the gearstick to get into the car. drill the gearbox mount holes out a bit and they will fit the stock e30 gearbox rails.
With great challenges comes great engineering.

You have got to love 4 pot ricers haven't you. Gunni you could get in the engine bay with the engine!

That has to be great for weight distribution. My old mans 200sx is an animal with only 270bhp(ca18det) but the car design/suspension is not that awe-inspiring in standard trim. Come on Theo, get yours done.

There is indeed space for me in there. I don´t have a picture of it but there is space for at least one "gunni" in there with a CA18DET .

Have you seen how big the standard viscous fan is on these! It takes up a huge amount of room. I presume you are going electric on this one?
