£145 Dave? Richard told me £188 maybe because of delivery and VAT?!randomdave325 wrote:a better pic of the end for you

i don't have the front one on my e30 as i still have the one that came with my hartge h26 many moons ago.
olly and rich both do tho and they seem fine
i do have the rear one and i have a front one on my e28 (very needed on an e28!!)
i got them at cost and both were over a hundred pounds! the e28 was closer to 2!
But they look good, fit and are all ally. nicely welded. made locally in the uk and work well.
Blimey! i sound like i am in an office now
Back to the workshop
i forgot to ask Rich, but do you know if you guys have many Tech 2 steering wheels knocking around?
I can't imagine Fritz make strut braces. That looks like an eibach one with a big mark up . I can supply you a mint eibach brace for £80 inc recorded delivery

I had an ebay one on my last 36 and it was rubbish. Might as well not buy one.
The £80 Eibach does sound reasonable though.

lol + VAT.. ?
im sure its made really nice, but how someone could justify spending that much on just a ally strut brace is shocking...
steel is stonger than ally FACT!
whats cages made out of ? CDS (cold drawn Steel)
why..
strength!

... which is why you'll find that they are probably an aluminium alloy, not pure aluminium. You can even get sparco aluminium strut braces and i think they know what they are doing. And aircrafts are made from aluminium and they withstand quite a bit of pressure - i would say that they are quite strong!

Unless you intend to race your cab, surely the strut brace is purely asthetic,s only?
Have had one ,from a German ebay seller, om my cab for two years now, and if i,m honest i have,nt noticed
any difference since i fitted it.

mine is not for aesthestics that would be a waste of money and if you bought yours off ebay and it was anything like the cheap ones some of the boys are mentioning on here then this is probably why you had no noticeable affect!gooner1 wrote:Unless you intend to race your cab, surely the strut brace is purely asthetic,s only?

fella i have to agree here that Aluminium Alloys can indeed excel about Steel which is majority of cars now are being made with Aluminium Chassis's because it is stronger and has better impact properties.juniorGT wrote:randomdave325 wrote:a better pic of the end for you

new cars have "crumple" zones which with the ally help helps to slow the energy transfer in a collision down. by the way you are aware that you can also Cold Draw Ally to give the same if not better effects over Steel?!
