Sorry but thats sh1te, my e30..minted - 1989. my e34 sport - 1994 - minted underneath, and both were bought from seaside areasAndyboy wrote:That's just scrap. A Scottish car so it'll be completely rotten everywhere.

No, that's pretty accurate in my experience. The further south you go, the better the car, in very general termsgeorob wrote:Sorry but thats sh1te, my e30..minted - 1989. my e34 sport - 1994 - minted underneath, and both were bought from seaside areasAndyboy wrote:That's just scrap. Having lived in Scotland all my days i think i'm in a better position to comment on the likes of this than your good self. Granted you do the usual rusty shitter, but you get as much down your way, its all down to how the car was treated. Plus staying in Aberdeen, right beside the sea...cecotto479 wrote:No, that's pretty accurate in my experience. You don't often see E34s needing welded.

Indeed - the four matching BF Goodrich covers are still on BlauTurdos. About the only part of that car that wasn't rusty! That was actually a really lovely car to drive once the screen was replaced. I was amazed at how good on fuel it was on a run. I did a few miles in it and flogged it to a bloke from Essex. It sounded superb with the shagged catalysts cut open and gutted.320Touring wrote:Fnar!Andyboy wrote:Looks like the Scottish rust has got to your keyboard. that 730i was a shed, but a very comfortable on, heated leather is nice![]()
not to mention the brand new tyres-ideally suited to a superior e32, like a certain doom blue m30 beastie

Sorry for messing up the perfect grammar and appearance of comments usually found on the board, at least it was spelt correctly which is more than can be said for the majority.Andyboy wrote:Looks like the Scottish rust has got to your keyboard. I too have lived in Scotland all my life, so please don't be so presumptious and condescending.georob wrote:Having lived in Scotland all my days i think i'm in a better position to comment on the likes of this than your good self. We aim to pleaseAndyboy wrote:RTA is a Devon/Exeter number. It depends on how long it's been up there. The 730i V8 I had from Neil was first registered in London (EYW) but it was as rusty as an old horseshoe.
