I was going to use a relay and wire it up to the temp swith on the engine.
Of the subject a bit, did you change the temp switch from the back of the m30 engine for the m20 one as the both have a sungle connection on them both????
I haven't changed it as they both looked the same, or are the resisitants different for both engines????

M20 one has one pin on the switch and M30 one has two... it needs to be swopped to the M20 one for the gauge to pick up a reading
you wont be able to get the fan to work by linking it to the blue temp switch!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ADJ-ELECTRIC-FAN- ... 286.c0.m14

Good bit of kit this... and adjustable from 40 degrees to 100 degrees, so you can make the fan kick in early (below half way)

Whats yours like to drive, does it have the nuts to see of a scooby???
And are you planning on a turbo for it.
My next one after this is a e21 m30 conversionas a sleeper winkeye

Gotta be honest mate, as mentioned above, i sorely miss my 325 turbo  .. that thing was a animal.. if i decide to keep this car, i wont turbo the M30, i will convert it back to a 2.5 and turbo the M20 lump, The M30 has a dogleg gearbox which i dont think i wanna get used to !! im actually contemplating selling the car now as its already financially hitting me ! now got 3 cars on the drive and i cant really afford to run all 3 !

Whats yours worth?
And what you going to turbo, m20b25
Why not turbo the m30, as i understand it can take 300 bhp without doing any internal mods which sounds good to me

mines a 1992 Kreg cabby, reckon worth about £4-5k.. and i just loved the reliability and torque i had on the m20b25 with the turbo.. that block is also good on standard internals for upto 350bhp !!

I'm all confused now,are you asking me this? winkeye If you are, then no,it's just the standard B25 rad given the replacement engine is the same as I had before, M20B25,answers your question too Rav,that is if you were asking me too

Soon Mr MAD soon, lee has been telling me he had my diff for ages, and guess what, it dissapeared and no one knows where it went, so thats the hold up so far.Me and matt are fabbin' up the exhaust tomorrow and hopefully sorcing the prop aswell.Thats the only 2 main issues left, then it should be drivable.Plus having my brakes grooved by the engineering company that did matts.

E21 being picked up end of next week as I got to sort out the storage for it.

Cab should be done for the weekend, props in place and bolted, had to go for a custom prop £80.00 all in, front end e34 and back m20, exhaust is on and started up to make sure there was no leaks, :D all good on that front.Needs to be blead now and also a switched live to make sure the fan kicks in when it should, and then for the test drive in the afternoon  .Everything else is done.

E21 pics comming when I pick it up.
