Offhand I can remember Richy325iTouring and Jamie325iSport both have over 200k (Richy on his original engine, he's now on his second I think), and Jesus325iTouring is the winner with I'd guess about 218k now.
I've got just over 185k on my 316i so not too far off with the amount of miles I do.
What's your mileage then e30geezer? Or do you not wanna tell?

The owner of the company I work for had a 325i convertable from new. When he sold it last month it had over 204,000 on the clock. Only serious thing that went wrong in that time was the auto box at 150,000!

My M535 just clocked the big 190k on the way back from the ring last night on the M1 while doing 120mph at 3000rpm.... 190k and still running well enough to blast to Germany, round the ring a few times and back in 4 days

my sister had a 318i (m40) and that did 254,000 on the original engine, but it failed its mot because of excessive chassis flexing, from the side it looked like it had been bent in half!

Mine's done 161k, but had at least the camshaft replaced at about 135k. It's still good for an indicated 135mph at 6000 rpm before I ran out of 'runway'.

ThatÔš's a very interesting thread indeed! It will give us interesting info on longevity, reliability, etc. I read on another site somewhere that a guy did 1 million km in the US in his 325i (thatÔš's 621,000 miles, if true). We could also look for the Ԛ… lowest mileage! My 1990 318is has 99,000 miles, thatÔš's only 6,600 annual but not that low after all. However, my brother has just bought a 1991 316i Touring at 57,000 miles only Ԛ—a 4K miles annual! HowÔš's that possible? The car is from Ԛ… the Isle of Wight!

Can't imagine there's many higher mileage M3's, nor or there many that run as well though
