Ok back at the start of the month I bought a heap of Alpina stuff , body stripes , dealer stickers and the stickers for inside the doors and engien bay. I thought it be worth spending the money in my restoration.

I have spent about £150 with ebay user nooneelsehasthis , now I got a message a few days ago claiming his son had been in a car crash and he was sorry and it was sent out and he added some other stuff to say sorry.

Well I been folling his ebay activity and he's managed to send stuff out to a fair number of other people and it seems he got a few sets of the stuff I bought. I mailed him just now that it's not on. I should have had it as he claimed it was sent out 1st class ( I paid enough fpr the postage ).

Now I said if I don't get the stuff today I am going to ebay because 14 days is not on IMO. Would it seem fair for me to ask for some of my money back because of it has taken him so long to sort out? I am compassionate but I think he's just chatting bollocks as ther people have got there stuff. I want the bts that I ordered and I made it clear I don't give a diddle about his freebies.

I just like some advise on how I should handle this and what would be reasonable to ask for. I know I am a soft sod and I would acept the car crash thing. After the crap with the 325i and now this I really had it with ebay. Only thing that works is buying mobile phones and numberplates.

Anyway any advise on how to handle this I woul dbe greatfull for as I am not experinced with making compliants ( normally I got to put up with them workign fr the NHS lol )

The only thing you can do is register as "items not recieved". You can do this in the "items i've won" section in "my eBay". In the drop down menu next to each item click the "REPORT THE ITEM AS NOT RECIEVED". This opens a dispute. Make sure you put some notes in there about the date you paid, and a record of every email contact you've had. Thats the official process.

Now I've never had to do this for a seller but I do do it for a few buyers that don't pay me. So I can't tell you the expected outcome as a buyer only that if I don't get paid and I click the "I feel I have not other option than to have no further contact" button, I get full final value funds back from eBay. Spadge may be able to as he's fairly active on there also.

One things for sure, I doubt you'll get any change by writing to eBay. Every time I've contacted them direct, they've done f*ck all!!!

If you've paid through paypal, you should be able to get your money back, report the loser first, then go from there.. :x

I've opened up a paypal dispute before using the 'item not recieved' button and the like, the seller never contacted me and eventually paypal took the money back from the seller's account and refunded me..... win :D

in this case it's gonna be harder because he has technically contacted you and according to evidence you'll 'eventually' get your item and some extras.....I guess the best you can do that works is make sure the time taken is reflected in his feedback.........

I guess sometimes you'll get those sellers who are full of hot air and delay for ages, but there's not much you can do about it.....luck of the draw :(

Of course it is a 'result'
If he/they were good enough to bung you a few freebies and a few quid back then they can't be all that bad!

I left them a positive feed back as the quality is reallly good. I got a ton of the little stickers for the engine bay , window stickers and dealership stickers.

Unfortianatly alot I can't use as it looks like it is for the E46 alpinas , the strip kit looks a very high quality but I will need to have to get a good body shop to put it all otherwise I it will look rubbish.

Yeah I was lucky with this one but I had paid it all on the 2nd and not heard anything untill Monday morning, where I was told the story and it was on it's way and nothing appeared.

Just a shame most of the stuff is really for the B alpinas. But I got soem nice sytner stickers and a few ones for the engien bay :)

I was worried I was going to get into a dispuite and I was un sure what people would feel is a reasonable amount of time.

They didn't even comfim they had got my payment.

But all good now
