Small Budget cleaning products

What products should use to sort out my paint work which is full of swirll makes and lacks depth?

I have a budget of around £30. (pics after a wash only)

Roof is the worst

Bilt Hamber full car cleaning and care kit would be good with that budget imo

The polish is a optical filler heavy product (basically will hide swirls) and apparently will be very durable.

I have bought this kit but have not got around to using it yet. Hopefully I'll try it this week.

would it not be best to start with a light cut dave? even if just the once to remove the damage, rather than cover it.

then protect it properly thereafter.

ah but like most things, its do as i say, not as i do, in fairness mate, i didnt even notice your peeling valance until you pointed it out at ashford a couple of months ago

Don't get confused between polish and waxes/LSP's. A polish DOES contain abrasives and will cut the surface back. Waxes and LSP's do not. Autobalm is an LSP. I use Autobalm and it is wonderful stuff. Certainly doesn't contain any cutting action. You use the tiniest bit and it goes a long way. Gives a great finish and seems very durable but doesn't bead or sheet to the same extent as many other finishes. I would still highly recommend it though.

I have used the kit for a while now. The shampoo is very good, feels very slippery and lubricated but you need to use more than they suggest in the blurb. They say a 5ml teaspoon full per bucket....well, it must be a tiny bucket as I use a capfull per gallon with excellent results.

The clay bar is awesome. Just use water as a lube and break off a 1/4 of the bar or so. Brilliant preparation for the autobalm; leaves the paintwork as smooth as a babies bottom.

The autobalm is a very durable product, goes on easily providing you keep the applicator/cloth ever so slightly damp and buffs real easy too as long as you only use the tiniest amount. No horrible white dust either.

I really like their products and will certainly go back for more once these run out....but I suspect that will be an awful long time judging by how far the autobalm stretches.

Let us know how you get on.

P.S. bear in mind, none of these products will remove the swirls and scratches, you really need to have the car mopped for that but the autobalm will do a very good job of disguising them.

It won't get rid of them but it will disguise them.....but not as well as Autobalm imho.

a good wash, clay bar'in and wax should do the trick with a bit of bumper shine should make it look

its been fine for me but i dont use it to get a car to concurs condition

whats wrong with it, does clay baring do the same thing i only found out about it a few weeks ago so baught some and did it on me corsa

it made it more smoother and look nice and shiney

tcut got my 316 looking like this, i wish i still had it, i hate insurance companys

the new owner was going to put new arches in and sports seats and he still has it so it must have gone to a good home

T-cut is cr@p - as said! lol. In my exprience it marks paint, fades the colour, doesn't really sort out any marks and generally gives a naff finish. lol

Swirls and marks like that cannot generally be removed by hand - only hiden by polishes with fillers in. Corrective polishing with a machine is the only way to rescue it. The difference would be amazing!
