Make sure that they play Divx, otherwise any DVD player is pretty worthless these days.

Don't worry about that, you can buy a video splitter for about £15-20 from ebay that'll split the signal for upto 8 screens. I have one, just haven't wired it in yet. Be more concerned about the video inputs, as I have a reversing camera, and that means that mine will only have 1 other input, which I'm currently using for Digital TV, but if I wanted to add the PS2, then I'd have to disconnect the TV, and use that same input.

If you're more interested in audio, then make sure that you get a head-unit that has good power on the Pre-outs preferably 3V+. If you want it for multimedia, then get something that supports Divx, and has USB/SD slots, touchscreen and bluetooth, as these things will make the difference if/when it comes to selling. It'll also make life easier when you don't have to keep burning CD's.

If you're not fussed with brand names, then i'd recommend the items off ebay, I posted the links on the 1st page i think.

In the Install that i did in the past I made sure that I bought the best head-unit at the time, which I had imported from the US. I got it 4months before it was released in the UK. Despite that I still had problems with it, whereas the cheap DVD/TV player i got off ebay hasn't given me any problems, so you judge for yourself.

You're better off cutting the indicator stalk or try and get a lhd center piece for the dash so the clock/OBC and stereo are swapped over, so the screen clears it, as it'll end up damaging the head-unit if it catches anything even slightly. You have to bare in mind that the motors used to open the screen aren't designed to face resistance, and that's what ends up damaging most of the DVD players.

The headrest will have 2 wires, a power wire and a video feed. You disconnect them, and the head-rests come out so they are pretty simple in that sense.

Someone's probably beein at it before you and cut the wires somewhere. Or it could just be the fader (i.e. front/back and left/right) settings on your head-unit.

If it's the wiring, I'd say just take a new wire from the head-unit to all the speakers to ensure a good connection.

Hmmm Raf this is what i brought.

Two Orion H2 subwoofers 2,000 watt RMS dual 2 Ohm subwoofers.

Powering each one of these to its absolute max is two Orion 5000D mono amplifiers, 2,500 watt RMS at 1 ohm.

Two 8002 2 channel amplifiers, 400 watt RMS per channel.

Directed 20 farad power capacitor.

I suggest dynamatting ALL bare metal you can get to in the boot.

Not sure what you mean about putting in 15" box....what do you want to put in a 15" box? The subs are 12" aren't they?

The subs need to go into a box designed for their spec. You should be able to get the spec from their website.

Interior will need to come out to do the install properly, and best to keep the cable as straight as possible down the centre of the car so you don't have to use loads of cable.

Dynamat is pricey here but well worth it, when i was planning a big ICE build i was going to go to Valencia and buy all my Ice stuff from there as it would've cost about a third of the cost, but unless you're willing to travel round europe then you're probably going to have to just shop around till you find the cheapest price. Try and got for Dynamat Extreme as that's the most effective.

Yellow top batteries are very good for ICE.
