Which Coilover set up for track day cars?
I think it's time to get some coilovers for the 325 track car, is there a group buy on these and what manufacturers do people rate and prefrences on set up?
I've currently got the bilstein sprintline set up on mine and it's great but it's time to move up I think..

The Isle of Man: No National Speed Limit, No Gatso's, No Nanny State, a disused airfield track 1.5 miles long, the best mountain road to drive on...Come and Play!

Running H&R coilovers on mine which I think are brilliant. Going to try some harder springs on the back to change things a little though.

Are these front and rear coilover, Jim? I have GAZ coilovers at the rear, which I'm very happy with. They don't seem to corrode, either.
Gary, your rear springs are perfect - for the Nordschleife, which the car hasn't yet been to

Sorry if this is a real numpty question
but what are the main advantages of a coil over set up over, for example, the full H&R cup set up we have at the moment which seems excellent for track use ?
White 318iS, 2.7 conversion, LSD, H&R cup kit, ARBs, F&R strut braces, full cage, kevlar buckets, wilwood 4 pot brakes, braided hoses, 6pt harnesses, f/glass bonnet, Toyo 888's, scorpion, polybushed, carbon cards and boot lid.

Fine adjustment to the height of each corner of the car allows you to adjust the amount of (rest) weight on each wheel. The idea is to get the diagonal totals the same.

That is what I thought it might be.. I assume all being well the differences required in height will be small enough not to affect the handling other ways? Or am I thinking too much?! With the corner weights the same the car is 'neutral'
How would you set corner weights? 4 wheel scales?

yes 4 scales and a very even floor. Most professionals do have 4 equalli leveled stand high enough to adjust the car whilst on the scales.Jhonno wrote:That is what I thought it might be..
