im thinking off taking the rear bumper of my 318is to get it sprayed.i was wondering how i go about taking it off and is it an easy job.cheers..

I think it depends on what year your car is, pre 88 I know is pretty easy, Take out all the boot trim (including the rear panel by the lights) Should find two or four screws (cant remmeber) and there also should be two screw on the sidewings (think you can actuall undo those without taking the boot lining out.) There are also two inside the rear wheel areches (one each side) may only need to loosen those.

Do it all gently and slowly and have an assistant to hold the bumper inplace while you do it as you could damage the mounings if you let it hang

Later cars are easier still if the bolts aren't rusted. There's another thread going on this.
