not really my bag but they don't look too bad. just make sure you have decent hard spigot rings on them. the main problem people have is wheel wobble even when the wheels are straight and balanced. this is usually because the spigot rings are really soft and bendy allowing the wheel to 'sag' off centre when you fit them, making the wheel sit off eccentric to the hub which throws the balance (with respect to the hub) way out. careful fitting by feeling the 'slop' with a pry bar or something and centering them better will help things but the best solution is to get some aluminium spigot rings turned up by an engineering company.

now stop farting about with wheels and get a second exhaust pipe on there!

Your car, your choice Josh. Looks good with either.

Only comment I have is that the majority seem to have either standard BBS or Alpina / Alpina copies

No offence Alex, but it isn't an Alpina... And nothing else on the car is Alpina either.
I'd leave it with the BMW badges for that reason.

Josh,

Don't listen to the poo pooers....If we all had E30's with genuine 16" alpiners then we'd all have identical motors.
Car looks great fella. Just like my old white 2dr! 8)

Keep up the good work.

Jhonno, from an originality point of view, yes they are better and the handling is also more superior than the BK's.
However, 17's sit up in the arch a lot better than the 16's and IMO looks better on the car.

If they had done genuine alpinas in 17" I would be prepared to pay ridiculous money for them. :D

If you like them, then bollocks to anyone else.
Sometimes on here people feel that they need to ask if something is ok as its not original etc (I've done it).
I suppose forums that display uniformity in its chosen subject (E30's) there will be a common denominator i.e. BBS's and Original Alpina's.
Don't feel like you have to conform to the common trends, if you like something that is not the norm then do it.

Apologies for thread hijack, rant over now.

I think your car looks very very nice Josh and is a credit to someone of your age.

I didn't have them on for long but the last owner had them on the car for over a year. IMO they look better on a dark car. But I reckon they would look awesome if you sprayed them nogaro like you did with the BBSs theres not enough contrast between body colour and wheels at the moment for my liking, if you know what I mean.

Image

They really are very heavy compared to BBS wheels and all agree affect the handling negativly however yours is only a 1.8 isn't it? shouldn't make to much of a difference in performance when you have none. So if you like the looks stick with them, I only got rid because I had a better set of wheels, I actually verymuch like the look they fill the e30 arches perfectly.

I have always prefered the look of them to BBS or even orignal 16" pinas.
