Absolutely mint E30 325i Sport 75k! Evaluation please...

Ok just gauging interest at the moment, really don't want to sell but i may have to as i no longer have a company car, which means i need a car i can drive on a daily basis, so i just need your opinion on what you think i should be looking for it?

It looked at many E30's before i came across this completley original, even with the tape player in, it is absolutely mint, no rust, and it has wheel arches unlike most E30's, the drive is perfect, very solid as it should be.

75,000 miles
9 Months M.O.T
10 Months Tax
FBMWSH - Just had an inspection 2 service carried out roughly 1500 miles ago.
All major things like cambelt, water pump, tensioner have all been attended to.

As i say, just seeing what sort of interest i get, and what i would be looking for the car, i really don't want to sell, but it's looking as though i will have too.

I bought my Sport in Dec 06 when it had 65k on the clock, was in near mint condition. I paid top money for it (probably a little too much me thinks! lol), anyway, looking at yours, I would be dissapointed if it fetched less than 4.5k. Thats my own personal opinion mind you. Have a word with the BMW car club and get someone to do a valuation, and/or try and ask WLN Automotive for a quick valuation too since they sell very mint Sports and other E30's.

not sure but there was or still is someone in the for sale section.a red sport simmilar to yours condition wise asking 5.5k
i dont think anyone can realy put a definate price on these.
its if someone wants a mint one like yours.

I have a black tech 2 sport with only 50000 miles on it and would want this kind of price if not more. It was also at Gaydon this year and last.

Could be time to set a president on these. Thats a very nice example and if the history file matches its condition, 5.5 to 6k has to be the benchmark to be laid down.

However, selling it for that figure at the moment may prove another matter. if it hangs around speak to WLN. They may be interested.

But it begs the question, why let an example as good as this and a car you obviously love, go any cheaper than 6k? You'll wait a long time before another comes along and when you think you can put yourself in a reliable e36 daily for 1500 quid, why sell it at all? In other words, if you can't get somewhere near the 6k, wrap it up and cherish it some more!

Did Ron's car E30 register guy fetch over £5500? If it did, that went to Ireland and wasn't quite as nice as this example advertised. Ron's car also had over 120k miles if I remember right also. But it did drive extremely well - one of the best. This car must be worth atleast £6k but I don't think the new owner could use it much as the more miles put on it, the "less" desireable it would be value wise.

Someone out there who is looking for a mint sport and wants one will pay what he has to pay to get it.

E30's are getting ultra rare now. I do alot of driving and hardly ever see a 325i Sport. 2-3 years ago I used to see alot more.

Oh, you couldn't import it...

I'm just saying that if a car like that came up for sale in Australia you'd have to beat people off with a stick offering that sort of money.

If I moved overseas, bought the car, drove it for 12 months, THEN I could probably bring it back to Australia with me as a private import ~ I'd have to look into it, though.

But, yeah....easy 7-8K for a Sport in that condition (about $16-18K AUD), perhaps even more, come to think of it.

I could be wrong though. There is a huge market over here for quality mint stuff like yours! We are cursed with VRT though, it makes things very expensive, the ferries have gone up in price too.

You should stick it on www.e30owners.com thats the Irish equivalent of the zone. Pistonheads is very good also.

Two comments here.

First our economy is gone tits up. Money is as tight as in the UK. Also there will be €1,800 in import tax (VRT) to be paid to bring it onto Irish plates. Add the price of flights & a ferry back and it's looking like a lot of money.

Second, there is a comment here about "diffing". Thankfully if it does come here it will be out of the reach of the spotty youths that wreck rwd cars.

Good luck with the sale. In the current climate "cash is king". Dont forget that.
