I need to replace my rear light cluster on my early style (87) E30, is there a difference in the rear light cluster between the earlier style E30 and the later ones.

I've seen some lights from a 1989 320i, will they fit my 1987 320i???

Thanks

New and old style clusters are not interchangable!
If the ones you are looking at, don't look like your old ones, they wont fit.

they look very similar, but cant really tell as i'm looking at them on ebay?

Do you know what the main differences are?

Forgive me as I'm stll new to this, my car is an '87 pre face lift, does that mean the rear lights would be different to an '89 post face lift?

the reverse light is bigger on pre facelift, the fixing bolts are different and the bulb layout is different.

they are yoko advan A048's, standard fitment on my exige. Great track tyre, bit sketchy in the wet though.

And they only last 5 frigging minutes! on my 3rd set of rears, in 9 months @ Ԛ£350 a pair :x not good.

Very soft, and very grippy!

can you afford that after the fine???

sure ANT will ship you one of you ask nicely, and the BBTB can be done with a325i unit until you have the pennies for a 'Zone.
