That makes perfect sense - it's essentially what I did so that I could drive it to the exhaust place!

Don't see much point in getting custom downpipes at all tbh, certainly not ones to match a li'l 2.5 system.

As a guide, mine was £170 for twin stainless pipes mated to the E32 downpipes, all the way back to the backbox. & they quoted the same again for the downpipes because of the awkward shape - they said themselves that there was no real point in re-making them...

Hmmm.. i will give it a go once the manifolds are bolted on.. i didnt think that the e34 downpipes will clear the steerin coloumn or bulk head without any mods?

'Any mods' will be minimal (if you're lucky & have the 'right' ones!) - 5 mins with a grinder and/or a solid steering coupling.

m20 exhaust will strangle the m30, well it will restrict it slightly as standard the m30 has twin 2.5inch.

will be ok for now but why add the big 6 for more power and then strangle the thing so it produces less power.

then again i wish i had the simplicty of the m20 exhaust cause that m3 one was a pain in the nuts! you can see the pics.

maybe i should have stuck with my 3inch exhaust and got a bigger back box (system is for sale if anyone wants it winkeye )

well i went and dropped my propshaft off today. the guy had a look and quoted me £80 to shorten it :D .. he said 99.9% of the time, it wont need to be balanced as he will not cut and re-weld it.. his gona make a ne tube to slide in or something like that ?? but he will balance it if it needs it afterwards!

so im nearly there ! :D
