Hi Fellas!
I'm kinda new in the Zone and am a proud owner of the South African version of the E30 M3 i.e. the 333i.
I will post some pics of the box once my restoration project is completed.
Basically I wanna know whether it's possible to stroke a M30 engine as well as whether this would offer any gains and what the possible losses I must expect if I do go the stroke route.

yes it is possible to have a larger capacity

3.5 is available

Welcome to the zone :wave: sounds like you have an interesting motor there. pictures will be needed :D

If its the m30 we all know love (with hammers) then bmw made a 3.5 version :D i didnt realise racing dynamics did a 3.8 :eek: sweet i will have to find out more info about that just to know about it.

Doesn't the M30 have enough torque already!?
Not in E30s any more :(

sounds like you have an interesting car, i'd love to see some pics of how BMW did it...

M5 crank and bigger bore would give 3.8 ala http://www.38csi.com/
