Definitely not ugly. Thats a really clean chromie and I like it. Do the drop and 15" BBS and I reckon you're onto a winner. What colour is the interior?

Some would describe that as the ultimate Old Skool Charm, but I agree - it gets to me as well and did when those earlier cars were current. Dropping the suspension a bit will help so that the ar*e isn't quite so gayly presented. MTech 1 all round would do a good cover-up job as well, it all depends upon how far he wants to go. Not a bad motor though and very easily turned into a seriously nice one.E30BeemerLad wrote:The ONLY thing that bugs me on the earlier cars is the back end underneath the bumper, the rear panel does not seem to extend down far enough so you see all the guts, i.e. exhaust backbox and spare wheel well. Stick out like bollox on a bull dog

This is turning into more of a blog now, but hey.
I painted some of the engine and even managed to avoid stray pubic hairs etching into the finish, i will replace the header tank and anything else that i can ge my hands on.
Thanks for the comments guys, i dont really want to change the identity of the car as its unique and the further i strive to enhance its spec the closer it will resemble other e30's.
The bodywork will need to be sorted soon, but i just cant afford it so sooner or later it will end up at the breakers thats almost certain but i want to make her last years as comfortable as possible.

if the body work isnt too bad and you cant make it good again, someone might take it on as a resto, especially on a pre facelift

Am Your car as mine just for description of what I would, remove bumpers and body mouldings.
Fit on M-Tec II Body-kit, spray-paint the car to Gun Metal Silver, pull out the wheels.
New set of Headlights, Foglights, clear indicators and fender markers.
Get a set of Gt-Motorsport Rims 17" inches - Deep lip(polished) Gun Metal spokes.
Exhaust: Twin Barrel Devil-Box with whistler.
Visualise da picture dude!
Your car will be just stunning! HOt!
And should forget to fit a tow hook for the trailer......to load CHICKS on!!!

I agree John, the real world means anywhere outside of the US.
By the way NK we dont have fender markers and nobody in there right mind would put a whistler or a M-tech kit 2 on a prefacelift car.
