The tweeters retailed at 27.66 exclusive VAT less 10% discount

The armrest retailed at £125.48 excl VAT less discount £132.69

I've got these in my car. They were extras. Very nice extras, hence why I got them.

I'd like an arm rest but really don't like the look of the BMW centre arm rest. The bracket that fixes it to the console just looks too non oem. I'd prefer to have the grandad style E34 retractable ones. Are they a feasable retro-fit to E30 sports seats?

My thoughts exactly, that arm rest looks like an after thought.

I don't like those arm rests. They look like a halfords bolt on from the 70's to me.

i don't think the armrest is original bmw. It is made by someone else specifically for e30s (correct me if i'm wrong?). You have to drill holes in the centre console and bolts are visible afterwards. It doesn't look like a factory job...

They are a BMW option. Thats what surprised me when I first saw one. I think they look a bit Chad Valley to be honest.

you'd have thought that they could have made a better effort than that!

The tweeters are nice though, are rear tweeters available also? What was the best factory sound system available? There is a top class harmon/kardon optional system in the e36 that could wake the dead!

 Too true!

E36 might be an option... I've not looked at it in any detail though. E34 ones would be great.

Another option are e34 arm rests. One on each seat. Not a hard job I hear. Problem I have though is how many e34 front arm rests do you see in Indigo  Just my luck to choose a rare colour trim.

I've got an X type jag armrest that is the perfect fit for the E30 but I'm just not sure about putting someting non BMW in there. Can't deceide whether it should go in or not.

I've got the tweeters, but I was never prepared to pay £130 for an armrest that frankly looks pony.

99% sure they are as i asked the dealer last year and they were then although some things that are NLA become availabe again but i would say tweeter pods being unlikely.

Looks over practicality? Always a difficult one. All three of my 5 series had armrests and so does my e36 cab and i agree. They were confortable.

But I still wouldn't screw one of these in my beloved e30. Personal choice I suppose.

How tricky is E34 armrests into E30? My E34 breaker has them and I am a grandad so therefore qualify... winkeye

As far as i know malc it's a case of stripping the side bolster down to the frame. I'm not 100% sure but I think the hole to mount the arm rest is already there. It's just a case of fitting the mount and retrimming the bolster and fitting the armrest when it's back together. Don't hold me to it though. I've never done one but have studied the parts and I reckon it's a goer. Lets face it, e34 sports seats had them most of the time.

Will Malc give it a go. They are nice thee34 ones as they hinge back and sit adjacent to the bolster. Plus as theres 2, if the passenger don't want his, he don't have to have it
