After looking around at some (usually fairly nasty condition) oil burning BMWs, I bought this on eBay today...

Very nice! I hate to admit it, but I do like the E34 as boring as it looks.

Yeah, bit of an old bus, but I used to have an E34 530 saloon (M30 motor) and it was nice enough to drive and more economical than my E30 325.

This has about the same amount of power as the old M30 3.0litre and has aircon, twin sunroofs, etc...

Should tidy up nicely...It's cheap enough, has tax and ticket and only 135K miles...

If so I have one the same in my drive that is going for scrap this week :D

Dunno...it's either Island or Oxford green...

It was a spur of the moment purchase and I know about as much as the ad states...

If the one in your drive has a drivers' door and a drivers' seat, I may be interested in rescuing those parts prior to you scrapping it as they seem to be the only bits needed...

Thats a real find - nice job. I'd love to try out one of the BMW 4WD cars. Still, anything that nice for £410 is amazing value :)

@ eko: dude, I'm probably gonna pick the car up on Monday...If it is Island green and the door isn't recoverable, I'll get in touch Monday eve and sort it out..

If, though, you need to get rid of the car before then, don't worry too much...

@whipsey: I was orignally looking ofr a 525TDS touring in manual and I really wanted it to have leather, sunroofs and a computer adn sports seats, if poss...
but was not having a lot of luck...found one that I looked at last week, no sunroof but working aircon but it was in a state...So much work needed to make it useable that I decided against...

This was just on a whim as I was browsing eBay 20 mins before the auction ended and came across this...Never had an iX, so bid and won....Should be good for a few miles nad months, at least.
