just picked up my new car and there are 1 or 2... or 3 problems,
1) On the drive home when i put it into 5th the car vibrated when accelerating
2) My drivers side front indicator doesn't work even when a new bulb was put in.
3) The car is a little loud (tappity) when idling.
Any information on the above would be greatly appreciated.

1) poss some bushes or something
2)my 316i did this, when i pushed the bulb up it came on so i wedged a stone under it, or to do it properly it might be a new unit. or it could be a bad connection somewhere
3) just adjust the tappets and your fine

we did them on my step dads 325i a few year ago but all i can remember was you need a screwdriver and spanners and a feeler gaugeRod1e30 wrote:how do you adjust the tappits? i've been told its easy but never how to do it.
there might be something in the wiki explaining how to do this
i think the haynes manual says it should be done every 12,000 miles
