How to maintain a cabriolet roof

What is the best thing to treat a cabriolet roof with when new so it is easy to clean and remove stains eg birds mess...

autoglym do a twin kit which i have used with good results

I've also used the Autoglym stuff as well, I know it's £20, but the finish is really good, the water really 'beads' after any rain.....

I swear by the autoglym gear i tried some other stuff over the years but now my cuboard is full of autoglym gear
