Hey guys!
im only new to this site, but i am in the middle of my turbo project on a e30 325 and im using the ebay manifold.
I have come across a problem and wondering if anyone else has come across the same thing, and if they can help me with some pics?
I cant find a place to run the down pipe off the turbo on a RIGHT hand drive?
Any info on what you guys have done about it would be great?
Cheers scotty

I cant do that. Because the new manifold takes up a lot of room. and where the down pipe needs to go there is the steering colomb is in the way and you dont have any room to play with. thats why im wondering what others have done?? maybe cut the fire wall away or something?? just trying to work that out.Gunni wrote:well you´ll have to fit it where the exhaust use to be.

Can you post some piccies up dude?
If the manifold is of the log type and doesn't stick out too much from the head, it should be possible to tuck a down pipe under it and around the steering column, but difficult to say for sure without some piccies.

Hi Folks....
Another newbie on the forum
Just noticed your post regarding the turbo downpipe position using the Ebay manifold. I am building an M20 323 turbo using the same manifold and a Garret T3 turbo from a cosworth. The downpipe I have used is a chopped up cosworth 3" stainless and will fit past the steering shaft with some carefull fabrication.I think that a 2.5" pipe would be an easyer choice but that depends on the setup you want.
Unfortunately I have no host to show my pics on the site at the moment but could mail them to you or try to get some one to host them.
Regards
Anton

Here we go, from a high mounted turbo, this it the route I've taken with 3" pipe:

You can get a 3inch pipe down there but those cheap chinese ebay manifolds aren't great for space.
Mine runs along the block past the steering but it's tight, took a few attempts to get it too fit right, best bet is buy a load of jetex bends and straights and cut and shut too suit.
The other option is to run the exhaust out through the battery tray, sounds mad but with turbo's you don't need an exhaust, although your MOT man might disagree
Otherwise buy a LHD and stick a 4inch pipe down there
Fozz.
