Hi guys

I'm kind of new to BMW's :?

I have a 320 with a 325 engine conversion.
Spax shocks at the front and lowering springs all round and the 325i rear anti roll bar setup.

I find that the steering feels quite vage even for an 89' car. I'm aiming to transform it into a very nice track car, so would like to eliminate the slop in the steering and make it feel far more direct.

Anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to the Zone! Z3 or E36 steering rack is a popular conversion. See http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/inde ... onversions

thanks

Is this an easy swap? I'd imagine that it might prove tricky and costly?

Standard e30 steering is slow (4 turns lock-to-lock), but shouldn't feel vague.
Check the steering rack, track rod ends and the rubber guibo in the steering column for slop/wear before modifying anything.

Agree with handpaper here.

The standard setup has more feedback than my e39.
