okay i just feel that my rear lights need sprucing up on the old girl... i attached a few ideas (all photoshoped in)... give your opinion...

- Okay this is the standard light how it looks now
Image

- This is one option... rears all red (now if anyone can help me on how to do this properly if i decide to go this way, i've seen some horrible diy jobs done of this, and the rear lights look a chalky red... NO THANKYOU!)
Image

- Second option.... these lights are found on ebay and i think they suite my car being red and black... i know alot of e30 original lovers will scream at me for this idea, (i would've done the same not that long ago) but i feel they might suite my car.
Image

-Third and final option... Smoke the rear lights, this would be my least favourite of all the options as mine still retains alot of the chrome and i don't feel it would be as fitting.... by all means give your honest opinion, thanks

I like the all reds myself, you can buy ones that are pre-done or else a few light coats of model paint does give a good DIY finish! It can mean quite a difference in price as the paint is only $ where the pre-made ones will be $$$!

OT question - what kit is that on your car? Something different for sure!

Full red, I think. The split smoked/red ones don't look too bad either, you need a pretty nice car to be able to pull those off, and I reckon your car can. Even so, it doesn't look as tasteful as the all red rears.

All red rear lights would be best, But see if you can find some original ones as they look better.

I know they are like hens teeth, I snapped mine up as soon as I saw them. Worth getting tho imo.

FWIW I rate all red lights too, all smoked doesn't really go IMO. Not sure about the smoked and red. I've got the red ones that eko had on his iS, which he did using modelling paints and they still look very good - esp. on delphin grey. There's an issue here in the UK about red indicators, but just enough of the orange light shows when in operation to avoid any hassle with the police so far. I've spoken to a couple of MOT inspectors about them and one says they would pass, but the other says they wouldn't :? No guesses as to who'll be doing my test in December winkeye

if the red vinyl works just tint the indiccator part and keep the reverse light white that will look okay as well.
