Ok I've tried a new fuse, it just blows.. I tried a new switch again it just blows the fuse, the new switch came with a relay, so don't think it's that, any ideas?

The fuse that blows is no. 4 (15A), I presume.
Does it blow immediately you plug a new one in, with the indicator switch in the off position?
As soon as you switch the ignition on, with the indicator switch in the off position?
Or as soon as you operate the indicator switch with the ignition on.?
The indicators can also be operated via another fuse, no 24 (15A) by the hazard switch. What happens when you push the hazard switch?
Just thougt of something very likely to be your problem, if your car is post about mid 88.
There is another circuit which runs off fuse 4, and it's not mentioned in the handbook. The glovebox light was moved to this fuse in later cars, and if the lamp is missing from its holder, the lampholder is very likely to short circuit and blow fuse 4.

Hello mate,
Cheers for the reply, it is a 15a fuse. The fuse blows straight away when the ignition is turned on.
The hassard lights still work though. It does have the glove box light mising so I will try this now.
Thanks for the reply, I bought this convertible for posing in the summer, but I don't look very cool indicating with hand signals! lol

If the glove box light is faulty, that's your problem.
